Sports Events Culture in Chicago

Chicago is the third largest city in the United States with a population of nearly three million people. It is known for its sports history and as a “melting pot” – a city that celebrates diversity. With an active sports culture, Chicagoans love to play and watch sports, and the city is consistently ranked as one of the top sports cities in the world. It has been named Best Sports City three times by Sporting News, and has consistently been listed in TSE’s annual international Ranking of Sport Cities. In addition, it has been home to the first winner of the Heisman Trophy, Jay Berwanger.

Though the Chicago Bears are off to a bad start this season, they’ve managed to sell out Soldier Field every week since the season began. Even the recent video of Jay Cutler’s jersey being burned in the press hasn’t slowed down the crowd. Fans are fiercely loyal and the Bears are always well-supported.
