Chicago News – Culture and Sports
Chicago is the third-largest city in the United States, home to nearly three million residents. The city is known for its diverse culture and sports. It is the home of the NFL’s Bears and the Heisman Trophy. A number of major sporting events also draw large crowds to the city, which contributes to the economy. With events for all ages and interests, there is something to please everyone.
In addition to being home to numerous professional sports, Chicago is a hub for basketball and football. The Bears are an NFL franchise, while the Bulls have an NBA team. Both teams have enjoyed years of dominance, especially during the 90s, led by ‘Air’ Jordan. The Blackhawks are also an NHL team, and have won the Stanley Cup twice.
Although the Bears have had a horrible start to the season, the city continues to attract big crowds for games. A week ago, a video of Jay Cutler’s jersey burning went viral, but the video didn’t dampen the crowd. Fans are devoted to their team, and the home games at Soldier Field are always sold out.
