The Sports Capital of the World

Chicago is often called the “Sports Capital of the World.” It is known for its cosmopolitan appeal and diverse sports culture. It has been named the world’s best sports city three times by Sporting News. And, the Blackhawks have won two Stanley Cups in the past five years. If you’re a sports fan, you’ll love the rich history and diverse sports culture of Chicago.

There are numerous events to attend in Chicago, and the city is home to many professional and amateur sports teams. You can catch a big game on a local TV station, or even stream it online. A major sporting event in Chicago attracts millions of fans, boosting the economy. Chicago is also home to the first winner of the Heisman Trophy, Jay Berwanger.
