With a population of nearly three million, Chicago is one of the largest cities in the United States. This cosmopolitan city is a multicultural melting pot and is home to several professional and amateur sports teams. Chicago has been recognized as a “Best Sports City” three times by the magazine Sporting News. Since 2012, it has also been a part of the TSE international ranking of sports cities. It was also the home of the first Heisman Trophy winner, Jay Berwanger, in 1948.
