Sports Events Culture in Chicago

Despite being the third largest city in the US, Chicago still manages to maintain a culture of sporting excellence. As such, it is often referred to as the “sports capital of the world” or if you prefer, the “sports city of the Midwest.” In addition to the Chicago White Sox, the city is home to numerous professional and amateur sports teams. Among them are the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Bears and the NHL’s Blackhawks. These sports teams are a major contributor to the city’s economy, bringing in more than 600 million dollars a year.
