Its most notable contribution to the sporting fraternity is the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), which has been lauded for its athletics programs. This is not to mention the dozens of other college affiliated sports teams in the area.

The city has a proud history in sports, dating back to the days of the Cubs, Bears and Bulls, and has enjoyed a renaissance of its own in recent years. The city has been a mecca for its sporting fans since at least the 1880s, and despite its storied history, there are still plenty of football fans in the fold. The city also boasts an impressive number of baseball and football alumni, many of whom play in the state’s most prestigious stadiums. Among the best cities to live in, it is no surprise that Chicago ranks among the country’s best. Its cosmopolitan charm and affluent suburbs abound with affluent residents, who posses a thirst for knowledge.
