Besides the Chicago Cubs, Chicago is home to the NBA’s Bulls and NHL’s Blackhawks. In addition to the two major leagues, the city has several minor league affiliates. A quick stroll down any one of its many arteries will prove that the city is a wellspring of sports aficionados. The city boasts a population of just over 3 million. And while it’s not necessarily the most hip, it is one of the most livable cities in the country. Aside from its many museums and theaters, the city has an array of green spaces, parks and public gardens, all of which are perfect for a family outing. And while the city is not particularly dense, it does boast a well-funded public transit system that paves the way for a convenient commute.

And while the city has its fair share of traffic problems, Chicagoans are more than willing to muck around with each other. Aside from the city’s myriad sports teams, it’s not uncommon to come across a couple of friendly rivals in the parking lot or at the bar. In the name of the game, a little friendly competition goes a long way. And while the city does not boast the biggest budget in the land, it does boast one of the nation’s most cosmopolitan populations.
