Chicago’s sports culture has been recognized through numerous awards. For instance, Chicago has been named “Best Sports City” by Sporting News magazine three times. It has also made TSE’s international list of the top sports cities every year since 2012. Regardless of how you feel about sports, Chicago’s sports culture is definitely worthy of being recognized.

The Chicago Blackhawks, for example, are one of the most storied franchises in the NHL. They’ve won two Stanley Cups in 30 seasons. They’ve also made a number of appearances on the national stage, as well. Their players have dressed as characters from the Disney movie Frozen, and they have helped to cheer up sick children.

Chicago’s sports culture has also been recognized through the Reach Out and Reinforce Respect campaign. This anti-bullying campaign is run by student athletes and the athletic department’s community relations team. It’s an effort to raise awareness about bullying and teach young people to respect each other.
