It’s also home to some interesting amateur sports teams, some of which have made the national stage. In fact, one could argue that Chicago sports are among the most interesting and entertaining in the country.

For example, Chicago is one of the four major American cities with teams in all five major professional sports. Some of those teams are quite successful, like the NHL’s Blackhawks, who won the Stanley Cup in 2013.

For the record, Chicago’s best team is probably the Chicago Cubs, with a record-breaking $600 million in annual revenue. However, they’re not the only team to boast a sizable fan base. There are a number of minor league baseball teams in Chicago, too.

The best part is that the city’s fans aren’t too picky, with many showing up for games, even if they don’t know the name of the team. That’s why it’s no surprise that Chicago ranks as the best sports town in America. It’s also no surprise that many people have been impressed by the city’s sports renaissance, a feat that has received a lot of press.

There’s no question that sports are good for society. They can help raise money for worthy causes, promote healthy living and get kids off the couch. In fact, the TSE has deemed Chicago a sports town of the year for three years in a row.
