Sports fans have a thing for the Chicago Bears, and they’re not alone. The city has also earned several awards and accolades for its stellar sports culture, including being ranked as the best sports town in the country and the best place to watch a live sporting event. The sports industry is estimated to be worth $600 million a year to Illinois and $340 million a year to New York City. Moreover, sports have been credited with the creation of 456,000 jobs in 2013.
