The City of Chicago and Its Sports Events Culture

Several awards have been given to the city of Chicago. For instance, for two years in a row the city was listed as the best sports town in the world by TSE. There have been numerous amateur and professional sports teams in the city. In addition, it has been host to a number of major sporting events. With all of this on tap, it is no surprise that the city has a large population of sports fans.

For starters, it has been home to several of the country’s largest and most successful professional sports teams. It has also been a hub for a variety of amateur sports teams, a number of which are highly competitive. With all of this in mind, it is no surprise that the city has earned several awards for its sports savvy. For example, the city was one of the few metro areas in the US to have an NBA playoffs in its backyard, and in 2011, it also hosted the CFL playoffs. As a bonus, the city is home to a handful of universities and colleges that have been known to field some of the top sports teams in the country.

With a population of about a million people, the city is also home to several major corporations and government agencies. In fact, the city is also home to the second largest public library in the world, not to mention a number of renowned museums. Not to mention the city’s proximity to some of the largest and most important hubs of innovation in the country.
