Chicago sports fans are die hard. It’s not hard to find a good number of diehard Cubs, Bears and White Sox fans. The best part is they are more than willing to cheer on their teams. Whether it’s a Saturday night game or a Thursday afternoon scrimmage, the city has a winning fan base.
The heyday of the old black-and-white era is long over, but that doesn’t mean the city can’t provide a thrill for its sporting fans. For example, the city is home to the NFL’s snort – the best of the best in the league, and two Stanley Cup winning teams, the Blackhawks and the Red Wings. With so many major players in one city, the competition is fierce. In addition to a strong sports culture, the city is awash in a plethora of cosmopolitan amenities and restaurants. That means a visit to the city ain’t for the faint of heart.
The city is also home to the world’s largest zoo, the first and only indoor laser tag arena in the state of Illinois, and numerous museums and historical sites. With so much to see and do, it’s no wonder the city has been named the nation’s most exciting place to live.
