CBS 2 Meteorologist Robb Ellis has the latest 7-day forecast.
And some snowflakes for us today Rob Yeah I think we're going to be wrapping The system up but it's going to take a While so kind of seeing the snow showers Taper off to snow flurries overnight and Then by the time we get into morning Hopefully we're done with all the Precipitation and we'll take most of the Day tomorrow to get the clouds out of Here clouds are staying with us and I Was watching this camera there were some Snow showers coming down right here Along the Dan Ryan but it looks like Most of that is tapered off a little bit And I think this is going to be the Story off and on snow showers tapering Off to snow flurries as we get through The next several hours or so even into The overnight most locations visibility Is not great but it's not as bad as it Could be not dealing with any fog Necessarily but look at the Grant Park Camera here definitely hazy especially The farther up you go starting to tap Into a little bit of the cloud cover Into the ceiling here as far as what We're expecting this system has a good Bit of travel time before it finally Exits it's still pinwheeling and there's A little bit of moisture on the backside Where we may see a few more snow showers As this continues to exit to the east Not expecting anything to additionally Accumulate although if it does come down
Heavily enough we could see some minor Accumulation on some of the elevated Surfaces temperatures have been holding Right at or maybe just a little bit Above freezing during the day for some Locations and I am confident that that's Helping the road temperatures just a bit As well meaning that our roads shouldn't Have too many concerns although again Those elevated surfaces and grassy Surfaces especially with locations near The upper 20s for a few spots so here's How it looks on future clouds and radar You see most of that exit to the east Temperatures into the 30's for most of The day once we get into the overnight They do start to drop into the upper 20s And then heading through the day on Friday we still have the clouds with us For most of the day on Friday but the Farther north you go you may be able to See some peaks of sunshine and what I'm Optimistic about is that we'll be able To get these clouds out of here by early Saturday so that we can see some Sunshine for Saturday although not a Full day of it we'll call it partly Cloudy for your Saturday because it Looks like some of the clouds may stick Around so 30's for the rest of the day Snow showers tapering off to more Flurries that will take us through Tonight at 29 nine looking ahead to Tomorrow more clouds than anything
Temperatures right about where they are Currently into the low to mid 30s and Then looking ahead for the weekend not Much movement in the temperatures here 36 for Saturday and for Sunday the Difference is that we'll see some Sunshine for Saturday we'll keep a few Snow showers into the forecast although I'm a little more optimistic that these May stay farther to the South and that Most of you may not deal with that Otherwise it's 30s all the way across The board maybe just a little bit warmer As we head into early next week
