North Main Fire Protection District Fire Inspector Scott Peterson has an update on a fire that ripped through a townhouse building outside Des Plaines.
Everybody hear me okay hello my name is Scott Peterson fire inspector North Main Fire Protection District we cover Unincorporated displays We're here tonight scene of a fire Address 9320 Noel Des Plaines Daniel's North Main Fire Protection District at 1607 hours our battalion chief was on The streets returning from McCall found This fire on the street immediately Called it in We had a two-story four unit brick Apartment building back of us that was Fully involved in one unit all floors Through the roof he immediately Requested an upgrade to a Mavis box Alarm Fire companies we had extension to units In either side and across the roof Shortly after the initial Discovery and Arrival we had a structural collapse of The main fire unit that was involved Fire suppression efforts continued for Approximately an hour we were able to Tame the fire to the original fire Building This time there's one firefighter Injured addition is minor Moderate Let's save a couple pets in one of the Units And at this time all the residents of Three of the units are accounted for and Possibly the four key results
Encountered for If you have any questions why possibly Why possibly the person in the fourth Unit we're just verifying that they Lived in that unit and it's not a Relative so neighbors heard a big bull Do we have any inclination that this Might have been a gas explosion right Now it's currently under investigation We do have the Mavis division three fire Investigation team Cook County Sheriff's Department Andy off State Fire Marshal On a team effort right now actively Conducting the fire investigation How many people I know we have four Units how many people are we talking who Might be and are likely displayed at This time I don't have those numbers we Do know we have there are the four units And then we're families and of each of The units I can't hear you ma'am Right now they're they're either with Family or in our warming buses provided By pace Anything else there how was the Firefighter injured firefighter receives Some Burns during the suppression Efforts He he continued unseen uh afterward fire Suppression again knocked down when we Started overhaul they took the hospital Via uh one of the Mavis Department Ambulances that were here
