Sports Events Culture in Chicago

For a true sports fan, nothing beats a game in Chicago, and there are plenty of options to watch major sporting events. Major sporting events draw millions of fans to the city and spur the local economy.

Its sports culture is legendary, and the city has won multiple awards for sports. It has been named as the world’s best sports city three times by the publication Sporting News, and has been listed in the TSE’s international rankings for sport cities for every year since 2012. Its most famous sports figure is Jay Berwanger, who became the first Heisman Trophy winner in the nation.
