A man riding a bicycle was shot after trying to stop a car break-in Wednesday night in Uptown.

No breaking this morning a man on a Bicycle tried to stop a car break in but He ended up getting shot by the suspect In return CBS 2's Marissa Pearlman live In Lakeview where the victim is being Treated and Marissa this may be a reason Why a lot of people just stay out of it When they see something happening Yeah that's right Audrina is certainly a Scary situation and this investigation Is still underway this morning happening Just a few hours ago this man on a bike Ran over to a suspect who he saw Breaking into another car and Immediately confronted him that has Happened just after 11 last night near Graceland Cemetery on Montrose you can See shell casings line the street here Now police say the suspect shot the Victim as he was approaching before Running away that victim a man in his 40s now his bike was seen laying on the Street near Montrose and Magnolia his Belongings Left Behind bullet holes were Seen piercing through a car in this area Witnesses reporting this morning a car Was stolen we're waiting on confirmation On that from police police also say this Bicyclist was shot once in the elbow but Thankfully is expected to be okay right Now no one is in custody and again this Victim is being treated this morning Here at Illinois Masonic Center we're Live this morning in Lakeview Marissa
