In today's handoff from the four o'clock To the five o'clock with Joe and Erica Unicorn dreams a young girl from California has an obsession with the Mystical creature she wanted one so Badly she asked her mom about getting a Real one and what her mom told her to do Next turned into an amazing journey of Encouragement from an unlikely Source David begno walks us through it Here's my room Seven-year-old Madeline loves animals But there is a clear favorite how many Unicorns do you have well I have one two Two three four five five unicorn Stuffies I recently got a pet unicorn This California first grader loves Unicorns so much that she asked for a Real one I told her well I think we Would need special permission for that From L.A County she just walked off and Came back A few minutes later and said okay well I Wrote a letter to LA County could you Please mail it for me and I looked at Her and I thought okay sure Marcia Mayetta got the letter dear L.A County I Would like your approval if I can have a Unicorn in my backyard if I can find one Please send me a letter in response Madeline you gave your seal of approval Yes and did you sign the certificate I Did and with that Madeleine received L.A County's first ever unicorn license
