A second suspect and the victim were injured when the car slammed into an ‘L’ support pole. CBS 2’s Marybel Gonzalez reports.
I'm Maribel Gonzalez and we're live on a Lake in Wabash in the loop where a Suspected carjacker was killed tonight Following a crash that happened at this Busy intersection in the middle of Rush Hour as you can see that car still on The scene it is slammed against a Support column for the l-tracks it's in The process of getting towed right now Police say this all started right before 5 45 this afternoon a 35 year old woman Was inside her Infinity SUV at this Intersection that's when an 18 year old Male and a 17 year old female got into Her car a struggle ensued between them As the car was in motion eventually the Car then hit that support column and the Impact of that trapped all three inside As you can see the front part of the car Was destroyed some of the belongings Scattered on the street and on top of The vehicle Chicago firefighters were Able to get the three of them out of That crash car however the male suspect Died at Northwestern Hospital from his Injuries the other suspect along with The victim are in critical condition Tonight police have not yet released the Identity of the victim nor the Identities of those suspects but we do Know that charges are pending reporting Live with breaking news from the loop Maribel Gonzalez CBS 2 news thank you
