The city also boasts a number of notable amateur sports teams. One of them is the Blackhawks, a hockey franchise that has made the Stanley Cup more than a few times. They also happen to be the best performing team in the NHL during the past two decades.
Not surprisingly, the Chicago sports scene has garnered some prestigious awards over the years. It has been named the most competitive, enviable and competitive in the country. Some of the city’s most famous athletes have even made their mark on the national stage. In the ’90s, the Bulls were a powerhouse, led by Michael ‘Air’ Jordan.
