Sports Events Culture in Chicago

The city of Chicago has a fervent sports events culture that has helped make it one of the country’s leading sports destinations. It is home to many professional and collegiate sports teams, including the NFL’s Chicago Bulls and NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks. In fact, Chicago has been named “Best Sports City” by the Sporting News three times. The Bulls are perennial powerhouses in the NBA, while the Blackhawks have won two Stanley Cups in recent years.

The Chicago Bears are having a rough start to the season, with the team losing its last four home games. A video of Jay Cutler’s jersey burning went viral the week before the game, but it didn’t seem to affect the attendance. Soldier Field is usually sold out, and the fans are fervently loyal to their team.
