CBS 2 meteorologist Laura Bannon has the extended forecast.
A relatively quiet you know we did have Some fog some problems with that over The last several days not really an Issue here this morning but we're Starting to see a little fog developing In some parts but we are headed for a Cooler Day More typical seasonably cool For the January weather gloomy skies I Am hopeful that we'll see a little Sunshine here this morning before the Sky is cloudy up again and dominate the Forecast all the way through the Extended snow showers will be possible At times picking up this afternoon and Then especially for tomorrow and then There is another chance that we could See a little snow developing by this Weekend from Saturday into Sunday now Looking at the fog we are still showing Tens across the board but I am seeing a Little pocket of some shallow fog now Out toward Wheeling here this morning Elsewhere we are in good shape so a nice Improvement in the fog department but We're still working with those clouds Again we've got some rough weather Across parts of the country we've got Severe weather off toward the Deep South Here this morning where they have Tornado watches currently in effect and Then on the other side of the system is Where we find snow that's now wrapping Around in portions of Minneapolis and That's where we'll find our winter
Weather advisory winter storm warnings Currently in effect so for us we're Going to pee pinwheel as far as a couple Of sprinkles and some flurries around at Times most of this is just going to be Plain rain but at times you are going to See a couple of snowflakes mixing at Times but look at all these snow reports That's off toward the north and west of Our area even yesterday we did have some Reports of some Thunder heavy rain and Some hail reports also so it's kind of a Busy unsettled day yesterday Temperatures now in the 30s we've got a Clean sweep on First Alert radar as we Roll through the afternoon this model is Really kind of underplaying everything But I do think that we're going to see Some sprinkles and some flurries around From time to time picking up through This afternoon going into tonight and Again for Thursday now of these two days I think tomorrow's going to be that Better chance that we see at least some Minor accumulation not a big snow more Of a nuisance than anything so a tenth Of an inch upwards of a half an inch Maybe in the most most extreme cases Totally an inch of snow when it's all Said and done we'll get a break from the Snow by Friday and then we've got that Next potential here this weekend late Saturday into Sunday your temperatures For high temperatures our highs rather
Will be above the freezing Mark for the Next seven we're 36 both Saturday and Sunday looking at sunshine across the Board by next week so Monday Tuesday We'll see some nice conditions once Again back to you all right Laura thank You

This is evident by the fact that the city boasts a population of over a million people, with the vast majority of them avid fans of their favorite teams.
