Chicago News Sports Events Culture

The Windy City has an amazingly vibrant sports culture, which includes many professional and collegiate teams. The Chicago Bulls, for instance, have been perennial powerhouses in the NBA for decades. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, have won two Stanley Cups in the last decade. There are also many volunteer opportunities in the sports industry.

Local news sources like WGN TV and Chicago Area Radar offer a wealth of information on the city’s sports events, traffic updates, and crime reports. WGN News also has live coverage of Chicago-area events. In addition to WGN, Chicago’s FOX 32 channel provides local news from Chicago and Northwest Indiana.

A 53-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of a liquor store clerk earlier this month. The news station WGN-TV, which is based in Chicago, has a rebranded network – NewsNation. WGN America, the cable network that covers local and national sports, is rebranding itself as NewsNation. As of March 1, WGN America will rebrand as NewsNation, a news network geared towards the Chicago area.

The network is also affiliated with WGN-TV+, which is a streaming video service available on smart TV devices. WGN-TV is located in Chicago, Illinois, and is a CW affiliate.
