Located in the windy city, Chicago boasts some of the finest sporting events around. Whether you are looking for a high-octane NFL playoff game, a minor league baseball game, or a night on the town with the ladies, Chicago has a team to satisfy your sports-loving appetite.

It is no surprise then that the city is home to the most sports-enthusiasts around. This demographic is also the most likely to be well-educated and savvy, so it is not surprising that the city has been ranked as the world’s second most cosmopolitan metropolis. With a population of just under 2 million, the city is not short on a burgeoning student population and a slew of well-paid professionals with a sports itch. While the name may suggest otherwise, the city has a storied professional sports team in the form of the Chicago Blackhawks, as well as a slew of amateur teams. The best part about it all is that it is free and open to the public. The Chicago White Sox have partnered with the Chicago Bears and the Junior Bears on a series of Nerf football programs, while the Bears have contributed funding for the athletic endeavors of the city’s underprivileged citizens. As of writing, there are more than 200 teams in the minors, with a few more on the way.

The city is also home to the tallest building in the state, the Chicago City Hall, which is where the aforementioned tallest building in the state gets its name. The City Hall is home to the State of Illinois, as well as several government agencies, but if you are a sports fan on the hunt for the biggest and baddest building in the state, you have come to the right place.
