Chicago sports are a billion-dollar industry and are good for the local economy. The Chicago Cubs alone generate more than $600 million in economic impact yearly for Illinois. In 2013, sports provided 456,000 jobs in the state of Illinois. A game at Soldier Field can attract a large crowd. However, don’t expect the stadium to be overrun.
