Besides being one of the top three largest cities in the United States, Chicago is also a sports fanatic’s paradise. Aside from its numerous amateur sports teams, the city has a plethora of professional ones. It’s also home to some of the biggest sporting events on the planet, including the World Series and the NBA playoffs.

During that time, it has been ranked in the top ten for sports related activities and events, and was dubbed the nation’s sports capitol. The city also boasts a sizable population of nearly 3 million residents.
There are certainly many things to love about the Windy City, but few can compete with the sheer magnitude of excitement a game like baseball can provide. From the throne room at Wrigley Field to the swag bags on the concourse at Fenway, the city’s sports culture is one of the highlights of the metropolis. Its sporting prowess is matched only by its ferocious fans.
Aside from the aforementioned Cubs and White Sox, the city is home to a handful of other amateur and professional sports teams. In addition to the Chicago Bulls and the Bears, the city is also home to several professional hockey teams. The city also hosts several amateur athletic tournaments.
The city has also been the recipient of several prestigious awards and honors. In particular, the city has been named the nation’s sports capital, and has won a slew of accolades including the TSE’s annual rankings of the top sport towns in the country.
