From the minor leagues to the storied National Hockey League (NHL) franchise, Chicago has an array of sporting events for the sports fanatic. In fact, according to the Illinois Sports Commission, sports generate over 600 million dollars in revenues for the state each year.
The city is also home to several notable amateur sports teams. The aforementioned hockey team won two Stanley Cups in the last ten years. In fact, the city’s hockey team is one of the most successful in history. The Cubs have an equally long list of accolades. In addition to the aforementioned team, the city is also home to the Chicago Bulls, which had an illustrious run in the 90s.

In addition to the aforementioned teams, the city is home to minor league baseball teams, which is a feat in and of itself.
