Located in the heart of Illinois, Chicago is a hive of sports activity. Whether you’re a fan of professional or amateur sports, you’ll have no shortage of options. There are several notable professional and amateur teams in the Windy City, including the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. They also fund several athletic programs for the youngsters in the area.

The city has also thrown its hat into the ring for several major sporting events over the years. In 2010, the city hosted the NBA playoffs and in 2012, it hosted the CFL playoffs. In the past two years, the city has remained in TSE’s list of the world’s best sports towns.

It’s no secret that the Chicago sports culture is a huge draw, not only for the fans and athletes alike, but also for the state’s tax dollars. The Bears and White Sox generate millions in state tax revenues, and the aforementioned aforementioned entrants also fund a host of youth sports programs.
