Sports Events Culture in Chicago
Whether you are a die-hard sports fan or you’re a casual observer, there’s something for everyone in Chicago. It’s home to several major league sports teams and an array of amateurs. It’s also got plenty of sporting events to choose from, and a lot of them are quite big. The city also boasts the highest concentration of sports fans, a fact that is well-known and a boon to those who appreciate a good game.
It’s not surprising that the city of Chicago has topped a variety of lists, including TSE’s list of the world’s best sports towns and cities. It’s also home to the storied Chicago Blackhawks NHL franchise and the Chicago Cubs. It’s not uncommon for the Cubs to partner with other local sports teams, such as the Bears, in order to provide funds for athletic programs. There are several other minor league baseball teams in Chicago, too.
It’s safe to say that the city of Chicago’s sports culture is on the rise. It’s been on the TSE list for two years in a row, and its sports-related bona fides are the best in the country.
