In particular, the city has made a name for itself as a destination for young, aspiring athletes, as well as those seeking a new start. This is a boon for both the city and the sport itself.

The sports industry is a large one, with a reported economic impact of $340 million in the New York metropolitan area and $650 million in Illinois alone.
