The search continues for a gunman who killed a 15-year-old girl. She and a man were shot at a party in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. CBS 2 Investigator Megan Hickey dug into what happened and she learned the shooting is centered around a possible club.

Whether you are a fan of the NFL or the NBA, you can’t help but be impressed by the city’s infrastructure and plethora of sports teams. The city’s professional sports teams have a storied history and their fans are loyal as heck.
It’s no surprise that the city has been dubbed the sports capital of the Midwest. There are three major league teams in the area and minor league affiliates to boot. Sports generate some serious dollars. The aforementioned Cubs, for instance, generate more than $600 million in revenue annually. And that’s before you take into account the countless millions of dollars paid to professional athletes for training, travel, and other miscellaneous costs.
The best part is that the city’s public transit system is top of the line. And the city has a ton of parks and open space to boot. With a population of 3 million, you won’t be stuck in a rut if you decide to move to the Windy City. Whether you are a fan of the NBA or the NFL, you will be hard pressed to find a city with more to do and see.
And for the sports skeptics out there, you will be glad to know that Chicago is a friendly city. The most feisty residents are happy to compete with each other. So if you are in the mood to see a game, get the family out to one of the city’s numerous parks and open spaces.
