Sports Events Culture in Chicago
Chicago is the third largest city in the United States with nearly 3 million residents. It’s often referred to as “the melting pot” or the “garden city,” and is home to several professional and amateur sports teams. The city is a thriving sports destination and has consistently been ranked among the top fifteen sports cities in the world. The city has even produced the first Heisman Trophy winner. In addition, there are numerous volunteer opportunities in the sports industry in Chicago.
Sports events in Chicago are a big part of the culture here, and many locals take pride in their teams. Chicago is home to the National Basketball Association’s Chicago Bulls and the National Hockey League’s Blackhawks. The Bulls were dominant in the 1990s, led by Michael ‘Air’ Jordan. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, won the Stanley Cup in 2010 and 2013.
