Amongst its many offerings, Chicago has a rich sports culture. Not only are there numerous professional sports teams, but the city is also home to many amateur teams. This means that there is a good chance that you can catch a live game on the local sports channel, or even watch it on the web. In fact, Chicago has some of the best sporting facilities in the country.

The Chicago Cubs, as well as the Chicago Bulls, have had a number of noteworthy moments over the years. The most notable is the time that the Chicago Bulls dominated the basketball world. This was during the 90s when Michael ‘Air’ Jordan led the team to its most wins in a decade.

A good number of the Chicagoans are devoted sports fans. The Chicago Bears have a history of winning the Super Bowl, but their recent performance is a major let down. In fact, their best season was in 1985. Despite this, Chicago is still the third largest city in the United States. They have an ongoing partnership with the Chicago White Sox, and continue to fund many of the city’s sports programs.

It is difficult to quantify the economic effect that major sporting events have on the city, but the numbers are staggering. The sports biz is a multi-billion dollar industry. In fact, according to the latest census, the population of Chicago is nearly 3 million, making it the third largest city in the U.S.
