Whether it is a baseball game or a basketball slugfest, Chicagoans are no strangers to the thrills of sports. With the city’s storied Blackhawks in the NHL, and minor league baseball teams such as the Cubs and the White Sox in the suburbs, you can bet that there are plenty of sports events to choose from.

The best part is that a large percentage of the city’s population is a sports fanatic. As such, the city boasts the highest concentration of sporting enthusiasts in the country. Seeing a team on the jumbo screen is a special treat, but there are numerous minor leagues and clubs that fans can cheer for. Having said that, you may want to brush up on your NFL trivia because the Redskins and Cowboys will be back in action in a few short weeks.

Aside from the sports and entertainment offerings, Chicago is also home to some of the most stylish neighborhoods in the country. From upscale high rises to a plethora of bars, restaurants and nightclubs, Chicago is the perfect place to be if you are looking for a good time. The city has even topped the TSE’s list of the world’s best sports towns for two years running. Of course, that isn’t to say that the city doesn’t suffer from a number of pitfalls that keep its residents up at night. Fortunately, the city is also home to some of the world’s most forward thinking politicians, and this is a good thing.
