Chicago Sports Events Culture
Whether you’re a fan of baseball, hockey, football or golf, Chicago’s sports culture has plenty to boast about. The city is home to five professional sports teams, including the Chicago Cubs, Bears, White Sox and Blackhawks. During the ’80s, the Bulls were the kings of basketball and sported Michael ‘Air’ Jordan. In recent years, the Blackhawks have taken the crown for the best team in the NHL.
In the past, the city has been home to some of the biggest sporting events in the world, including the Super Bowl, NBA playoffs and CFL playoffs. This makes the city a sports lover’s paradise. For the past two years, Chicago has made the TSE’s international ranking of sport towns.
Although the city has a population of about 3 million, it is actually one of the most diverse sports towns in the United States. It is also home to a number of amateur sports teams. In fact, some of them have been around for decades.
The best way to experience the city’s sporting prowess is to get out and about, and it’s not hard to find a game or two to get your heart racing. Even in a recession, the city’s sports fans haven’t given up on the great game.
There are many other sports cities in the United States to choose from, but the Chicago juggernaut is still a formidable contender. The city has been ranked the best in the nation in terms of sports, and boasts an active and engaged sports fan base.
