Having been the center of commerce for some time now, Chicago has seen its fair share of both the good and the bad. Among other things, Chicago has some of the world’s best public transit systems. While it is certainly not a metropolis, it has no shortage of attractions to entertain its millions of residents. While it may not be the sexiest city in the United States, it’s certainly one of the most cosmopolitan. It’s also the country’s nexus of the Great Lakes. The Chicago White Sox has had a long standing tradition in baseball, as have the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Blackhawks. The latter has been the envy of their rivals for several decades, if not centuries.

The city also boasts some of the best brews in the world, in large part due to the presence of one of the city’s finest brewmasters, albeit on a limited schedule. A plethora of fine restaurants and bars make it a fine place to unwind and let the chips fall. The city is also home to some of the best parks and gardens in the country, if you’re into hiking or biking. This is all the more reason to visit if you haven’t yet. It’s also home to a plethora of museums and art galleries to ooh and aah over. One of the best places to visit is Millennium Park, which is home to the country’s largest art museum, the Art Institute of Chicago. It’s also home to the renowned Field Museum. The city has a population of just under three million residents, but is home to a plethora of attractions to entertain its many occupants. One of the best things about the city is the friendly nexus of neighboring Milwaukee. As for the city itself, it is one of the most walkable and convenient towns in the state. It’s also home to the city’s best golf course, a plethora of museums and galleries, as well as several of the finest beaches in the country. The city has been named the Sports Capital of the World by a variety of accolades. The city’s most illustrious award winner, the Chicago Cubs, reclaimed the throne of the baseball aficionado in 2012. Its most recent dynasty elicited the aforementioned snafu, but the city is reclaiming its mantle as the city of champions, albeit on a limited schedule. Known for its plethora of cultural institutions, the city has a lot to offer visitors from the aforementioned baseball powerhouse to the hippest hipster. It’s not all about baseball though, the city is home to some of the best restaurants in the country, as well as some of the best hotels in the country.
