Chicago News Sports Events Culture
The third largest city in the United States, Chicago is a cultural melting pot with nearly three million residents. Known as the “city in a garden”, the city is also known for its sports, and has been ranked among the top sports cities in the world by Sporting News three times. The city has hosted many major sports events and has produced some of the most prestigious athletes in the world. In fact, Chicago is the only city to produce a college football player who won the Heisman Trophy. There is a vibrant sporting culture in the city, and many volunteer opportunities are available.
The Chicago Bears have had a terrible start to the season, losing all three home games, but despite the poor start, the Bears’ fans have remained loyal to their team. A video of Jay Cutler’s jersey burning has gone viral, but it did not impact attendance. Fans are fiercely loyal, and Soldier Field is usually packed.
