Located in the windy city, Chicago is the unofficial capital of sports fun and frivolity. The city has a storied sports history, most notably the Bears, the Chicago White Sox, and the Cubs. While these teams may not always be household names, their fans have always been in it for the long haul. If you have a chance to visit, be sure to check out their local sports station, and take in a few games.

As it turns out, Chicago is a cosmopolitan city that is home to a diverse mix of people of all walks of life. With the city boasting nearly 3 million residents, you can bet that sports are a big deal here. As a result, you will find a multitude of sports related endeavors, including the aforementioned big leagues, along with hundreds of smaller amateur teams, all competing for the big prize. The city is also home to the country’s largest municipal golf course, which isn’t for the faint of heart, but if you’re into golf, you’ll appreciate it. It’s also one of the few metropolises that has a thriving ethnic community, and is often described as the most diverse city in the United States. Obviously, the city is home to the largest metropolis in the country, but that doesn’t stop the city from being the most diverse.

It’s no surprise that the city has won the award for best metropolis in the state, or at least, the city in which the state is located. As it turns out, sports events are a major contributor to the city’s economy.
