Getting around the city isn’t a chore thanks to the city’s robust transportation infrastructure. The city is home to professional sports teams like the Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs, as well as amateur teams like the Chicago Bulls and Windy City White Sox. The city’s parks are also ideal for family outings. For example, the Chicago Botanical Garden is the place to be when the sun is shining and the temperatures are balmy.
The city has also been dubbed the sports capital of the Midwest. In fact, it has made TSE’s list of sport cities every year since 2012. For a city of its size, Chicago’s sports jumbo isn’t too shabby. The city is home to the best plethora of sports teams, including a major league baseball team, the Cubs. As a result, it’s also a great destination for a night out or weekend of sports action. The city is also home to a bevy of minor league baseball teams, which is a plus for the Cubs fans. With so many sports teams to choose from, it’s no wonder the city’s sports scene is one of the happiest in the country.
The city has also been known to play host to the biggest sporting events in the country, and a lot of them. One of the biggest sporting events in recent memory, the Super Bowl, will take place in the Windy City for the first time in more than 20 years.
