Known as the “City in a Garden,” Chicago is the third-largest city in the United States and is home to nearly three million people. It’s a vibrant city, with an active sports culture that has won the city the title of “Best Sports City” three times, and has hosted NCAA championships, All-Star Games, and many other high-profile sporting events. There are many opportunities for volunteers to get involved with local sports teams and events through the Chicago Sports Commission.

If you’re a sports fan, you should go to games at Soldier Field, the home of the Chicago Bears. Though the team’s start to the season has been less than stellar, the Bears’ fans are passionate and fierce. Even the video of Jay Cutler’s jersey burning last week didn’t dampen attendance. Soldier Field is always sold out, and the fans are fiercely loyal.
