The Cubs have been an institution for nearly a century, and the Bears have been a fixture in the Big Ten since the early noughties. This sports centric milieu has produced a slew of sports notables spanning the spectrum from high caliber amateur to professional and major leagues. This bevy of sporting aficionados has given rise to sports related social activities such as fan clubs and gambling themed pub crawls.
